Bad-ass WWI Solder Captures 132 Germans

.

His Name was Alvin York

.

.

He captured 132 Germans with nothing more then a pistol and a rifle.  To start off York was out in the open and the Germans had the advantage of being above him and with some 30 machine guns among them.   The Germans quickly mowed down most of York’s squad including his commanding officer leaving him in charge.  The surviving members of his squad were busy guarding their previous obtained prisoners which left York fighting on his own.   York quickly realized he had no time to run for cover so he began picking off the Germans one by one.

.

.

York was racking up quite a body count when a group of Germans jumped out from the trench and charged him with bayonets, the average person would run for cover but what did York do?   He whips out his pistol and systematically takes out the solders in the back so the front line keeps charging, York kills all of the Germans descending upon him.
The whole time might i add, York was shouting too the Germans that they could surrender at any time.  Too Yorks supprise they did, the German commander threw up his hands and said to York “If you won’t shoot any more I will make them give up.”  York is by far the most Bad-ass WWI soldier I’ve heard of.

Space Zen, The Overview Effect

.
.
Edgar Mitchell an Apollo 14 astronaut experienced a profound and little understood phenomenon, a sort of space zen.   In February 1971, Apollo 14 had taken off and Edgar was in space, and looking back on earth he described feeling completely engulfed by a profound sense of universal connectedness.  He had become instantly and profoundly aware that each of his atoms were connected to the small planet he saw in the window and to every other atom in the Universe.  He described experiencing an intense awareness that Earth, with its humans, and other animals,  were all one systematic whole, a sense of interconnected euphoria.
.
Because Edgar was not the first or the last astronaut to experience this feeling of wholeness, Andy Newberg a neurologist has done some research in to the matter and he found that there is a neurological difference within the brain between someone who has experienced this space zen, and someone who has not.  Presently Andy is preparing a brain scanner to go up with the next space exploration to study (live) what happens within once the mind enters space.

Stupidity of the People

Why are people so stupid these days ? This came up very clearly with a conversation between me and Dylan. In today’s world people seem to get off on being stupid. Stupid remarks, stupid comments, stupid explanations that lead themselves into a bigger whole hole than they were before. I recently even started my new job at Telus in the sale department and i don’t mean to be rude or anything but a lot of them are dumb as hell and it’s really hard to get someone to listen to you if there minds are closed for good.some people are just willfully ignorant and sometimes are even deliberately misrepresent the situation so I will stop talking to them.

Religion comes into play with the ignorance ….. still not trying to be mean or offensive but some of the stories do not apply to anything to do with the modern day. The stories that we are supposed to lead our people by are way to far off to even use as real proof for how we are supposed to live our lives a good example of this is the movies religious and it proves many good points a about the faults of religion. I am not trying to bash it all, I will still be a good person not steal not kill and follow the commandments because those are just things that people should do in ones life. Like thou shall not kill; I’m definitely not killing anyone anytime soon.

Obama’s health care plan a problem ?

Obama is trying to bring health-care into mainstream U.S.A.  The idea of health-care in the states is a very controversial issue. People today still fear communist power for the idea of freedom. In the past it was said to be “better dead than red”, in my eyes I see this as a problem. A free enterprise nation sounds good in theory kind of like how communities were better in theory but I see the government not as a controlling freak but more as a protector. Things like health-care should be done like Canada and for once the states should follow in our footsteps and learn our ways of freedom. As I see it, in Canada we are freer than a lot of people in the states. Well would you rather be as free as possible and let the rich rule or have a government that gives everyone and equal opportunity? If you’re living in the states but you may think I’m just shooting out socialist views but that’s not how I’m going about it at all, I’m just middle wing person. I’m not liberal or conservative, I’m for the protection of the people but the people still need rules or chaos will rule us all. We need a middle party that thinks rationally, not just aiming for the left or right side.

3,600-foot SPACE CANNON!

.

Currently it costs NASA $5,000 PER POUND to send things into space, but someone has a solution.  Starting in 1992 John Hunter has been continually working on an easier less expensive way to send things into space.   His solution? SPACE CANNON!  The Cannon works by initially compressing hydrogen gas, then pressurizing it further with the application of heat to eventually build up enough energy that when released can shoot 1000 pounds of supplies at 13,000 mph.  The downside is its not so probable for humans to use because of the 5,000 G’s during acceleration.  The cannon will initially cost  $5,000,000 but through the use of the cannon NASA’s bill for sending one pound of supplies into space will cost a mere $250, compared to the current cost of $5000 per pound, making the project defiantly worth the start up price of $5 million.

This Is Poland

.

Eight years ago Poland Decriminalized ALL drugs including: marijuana, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine.

.

Is It Solving Problems?

.

.

YES!

To Poland’s and the rest of the world’s surprise drug usage dropped, most notably in the age group of 13-19,  HIV viral infections decrease dramatically, and the amount of people seeking help with drug addictions nearly doubled.  Not so surprisingly American along with Canadian media chooses to ignore these facts.
